Given the globalization of today's society, it is necessary to adopt intercultural perspectives in all areas to achieve a social construct that includes the cultural diversity in which we develop. Intercultural dialogue must be a characteristic of people, a two-way dialogue that allows us to communicate with other cultures and, at the same time, learn from them. Therefore, it is essential that the intercultural approach be taught from an early age in schools. This work aims to develop intercultural education through music. To this end, a study was conducted with twelve teachers from the Plutarco Elías Calles Elementary School to understand their intercultural competencies and how to design new innovative strategies that contribute to the development of interculturality in basic education.
