Abstract

The purpose of this document is to present a proposal for a workshop for the development of socio-emotional skills in adolescents and young adults from 15 to 22 years old. The basis for the design of the workshop is based on the importance of Socio-Emotional Skills (HSE) in the process of identity development and personal growth during adolescence and youth. These skills are essential for understanding, regulating and managing emotions, establishing healthy relationships, resolving conflicts and making informed decisions. The proposal focuses on the Emotional Intelligence (EI) approach as a theoretical framework. EI focuses on the importance of recognizing and managing emotions both in oneself and in others, being essential for emotional well-being and success in everyday life. It is based on the Salovey and Mayer model, which includes emotional perception, emotional facilitation, emotional understanding and emotional management. The workshop is divided into four dimensions based on the Salovey and Mayer model, each with specific objectives and related activities. Each session is designed to address specific aspects of social-emotional skills, using digital tools and audiovisual materials to facilitate teaching.
