The incorporation of artificial intelligence into digital banking has transformed interactions between financial institutions and users, redefining the banking experience in digital environments. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital access and training, as well as digital competence in the use of artificial intelligence, on the overall user experience in Ecuadorian digital banking. A quantitative approach was adopted using data collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 365 digital banking users in Ecuador. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results indicate that both digital access and training and digital competence in the use of artificial intelligence have positive and statistically significant effects on the overall user experience, with digital competence emerging as the strongest determinant. The model explained 22.5% of the variance in the overall digital banking experience. These findings provide evidence to support the development of user-centered digital transformation strategies in the banking sector.
