This study aims to analyze the organizational, operational, and strategic characteristics of rural agribusinesses on San Cristóbal Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. A qualitative approach was applied, conducting interviews with agro-entrepreneurs in the agricultural and livestock sectors and analyzing the information using Atlas software. The results reveal that these agribusinesses are mostly family-run, with little technical expertise and informal decision-making concentrated in the hands of a few individuals. However, they demonstrate a good capacity for adaptation through product diversification, process reorganization, and adjustment to local demand. Productive transformation, organizational stability, resource management, flexibility, and feedback are highlighted as key dimensions. Despite the limitations of the island environment, agribusinesses demonstrate a high level of operational resilience. It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen technical and financial capacities, and that public policies adapted to local conditions are required.
